Personalised clothing for Hockey Easter Camp

Clubs and associations have been getting great personalised clothing for their organisations for over 20 years.  From our experience, we find that there are dedicated numbers of individuals who work tirelessly to make the club a success.  When people visit us in our showroom, they usually have a club logo and a few ideas of garments they would like. Perhaps something they have had in the past, usually something along the lines of Polo Shirts and Sweatshirts.  This marketplace has now really opened up. There is so much more out there these days. It doesn’t have to cost a lot and it can be tagged onto an existing range, so no need for additional set up charges or minimum quantities. We are able to offer the latest technology soft shell jackets, hoodies, items specifically for ladies (yes, they do exist…) and numerous other items that we can suggest to you.  Even down to the humble woolly hat. Most groups or associations spend time outside in the winter. Why not promote yourselves with this reasonably priced, functional bit of kit.

Clothing is a great way of promoting your organisation, yet at the same time can be a good source of income generation. It doesn’t’ need to be expensive or complicated and we may even be able to help with spreading the message about your club if you are looking to recruit new members through our websites and social networking sites. Here are what a few of our club customers have to say…

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you and the Total Promotions Team know how happy we are with all our orders – to be honest it has exceeded my expectations considerably and the customer service that you guys have provided to us has definitely gone the extra mile. We really appreciate everything you have done for Mad Ants and very much hope that we can continue to do business with you in the years ahead. Our clients continuously comment on the quality of the embroidery and printing which for us is brilliant, It’s easy for us to love the service and quality but when our clients comment on this equally, it proves we have got it right by working in partnership with Total.

Ugandan School Trip Printed Clothing

We provide primary and secondary schools with bulk orders delivered direct to the schools.

These can be packed exactly to the school requirements ( i.e. student manpacks, boxed in sizes, etc ) We can also offer a state of the art website which allows schools to have their own uniform shop. It  links direct from the school website. This eliminates the need for the school to hold stock, freeing up school staff time and saves both  time and money ( see our case study ). The school page is customised to your school and orders are despatched straight to individual pupil’s addresses. Orders can be tracked and parents can call us direct if there are issues. Our aim is to take the hassle out of school uniforms for both parent and pupils. We pride ourselves on never being late with a delivery.

Our range is vast and we provide most of the recognised  schoolwear brands. All uniforms are printed or embroidered in house, and we hold stock for our online schools. This allows us to dispatch order within a day or so of the order arriving. We provide a top to toe service from blazers through to PE socks.

For our school customers, we offer sponsorships and discounts of additional non uniform products, for example ski trips or leavers hoodies.

Why not take advantage of our vast experience. Give us a call, request our school brochure and we will pop over to visit you. Here are what a few of our existing schools have to say…

Hampton College

When we opened Hampton College as a brand new secondary school in September 2005, we made the decision to use Total Promotions as our school uniform supplier: we have never regretted this decision.

The quality of the clothing has been excellent, and nothing has been too much trouble for Jan and her staff; they have always met our deadlines, even when they have involved fast turn-arounds.

We would be very happy to recommend Total Promotions to other schools who are thinking about choosing an online supplier, and to welcome visitors who want to have a look at our students to see how smart they look.

WITH A NEW INTAKE EACH YEAR OF 100 PUPILS (SCHOOL SIZE-600)

This was how our school uniform ordering process used to work:

Each year, we started preparations for our busy new intake period in April.
The following were included:

  • Creating and copying order forms with correct prices and sizing details on
  • Issuing order forms to parents and students
  • Hosting parents evening for the new pupils to try on garments for size.
  • Chasing non returned order forms
  • Collating returned order forms
  • Chasing bounced cheques, querying incorrectly placed orders
  • Placing bulk orders with suppliers ( plus estimating the amount extra we would need to hold in stock  for ad hoc orders )
  • Chasing suppliers for deliveries, stressing that the deliveries were not going to arrive on time
  • Taking receipt of lots of boxes, hopefully in time. Checking in supplier orders
  • Organising 4 people to  man end of August open days to pick orders ( 3 hours per person  over 2 days = 24 hours)
  • Sorting ongoing sizing problems with parents and pupils etc with clothing issued.
  • Coping with ad hoc ringing in or calling in to collect additional items throughout the year. ( 1+ hours per school week  = 35 hours)

For existing pupils, there was the requirement to hold stock ( we held £ 6000 )We also required the full use of a large classroom, plus access to a separate changing facility.

To summarise;

During the general school year, I calculate that I spent around 4 hours a week on uniform issues, rising to 2 weeks fulltime in the summer, plus the help of my assistants on collection and sorting days. ( £ 10.00 /hour assumed cost )

  • 4 X 39 school weeks = 156 hours  £ 1560
  • Summer season 2 full weeks =  60 hours    £ 600
  • 4 people manning collection days = 24 hours    £ 240
  • Stock   £ 6000
  • Use of storage facilities???
  • Annual sales in this school of £ 26,000    ( 10% commission )    £ 2600
  • TOTAL SAVING TO SCHOOL    £11,000
